COMMUNITY CARE CLOSET

The Community Care Closet (thrift store) has been open and thriving since June 2006 in Deseronto at 295 Main Street. The store is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Donations may be dropped off at the office in Deseronto, or for your convenience, small donations may be dropped off at the Belleville office.  To volunteer at the store, please call Trina at 613-396-6591 for more information.

55-ALIVE

The 55 Alive Driver Refresher Course is designed to help older drivers maintain their independence and their driving privileges.  Courses are offered at various times during the year.  The cost for this course is $35.00 and will include a workbook, certificate and refreshments.  For more information please call Community Care for South Hastings at 613-969-0130.

MISSION STATEMENT

Community Care for South Hastings is a non-profit agency for seniors and adults with physical disabilities. We provide programs and services that assist our clients to remain in their own homes with dignity and respect for as long as possible.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of our agency. Our programs succeed because of our volunteers.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Community Care for South Hastings is seeking community minded individuals with a special interest in preventative community healthcare support services as they apply to seniors and adults with physical disabilities.

  1. Term of office is 3 years

  2. There is one general Board meeting per month and participation on at least one committee, working group or task force is expected

  3. Involvement with special events, educational sessions, and fund-raising activities is required

  4. A criminal record check and adherence to a strict confidentiality policy is mandatory
